Physiotherapists help people who have illnesses, an injury, or a disability to be able to move, operate, function or overcome their limitations. They are required to understand all the details and information about the bones, nervous system, joints, tissues, and heart. They use massage, their hands, laser equipment, exercise equipment and others aids.
Some Therapists may choose a particular specialisation or health problems. they also work closely with and network with various doctors, paediatricians, social workers, surgeons, nurses or occupational therapists. They may work any day of the week, overtime and must maintain a flexible schedule for emergencies. They make a good living and sometimes are self employed or may choose to work in hospitals, schools, sports centres, health centres or residential homes.

There are many certifications in Physiotherapy that can help persons who are interested. These must be Health Professions Council (HPC) recognised and accepted. This may include the BTEC, NVQ, or other Diploma courses. Subjects that are relevant for this area include:

Some professionals work as Assistants and then complete their training and become official Physiotherapists.
