Plant Manager

Those working as a plant manager have an extremely important role in the manufacturing industry. They are generally responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety and the timely meeting of production goals
The position entails a high degree of responsibility and can be quite demanding. The plant manager must have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the operation they are overseeing in addition to effective communication and organisational skills. Successful individuals in this field often hold a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or business management, though no official standard exists and experience in the industry at hand is often the most desirable quality
Typical salaries for this position in the United Kingdom have a high degree of variance. Managers working for major corporations often earn well over £60,000 a year, however those working in smaller firms are more likely to see per annum rates in the neighbourhood of £40,000.
