Telesales job description
Post JobTelesales operators usually work in a call centre, contacting potential customers and presenting a company’s product or services in order to maximise sales. Market research is sometimes another aspect of this role. Applicants for the job should have excellent verbal communication skills as it requires describing products or services in order to persuade a customer to purchase, place an order or agree to a trial period. The ability to use relevant computer systems is vital for this position as is the ability to use initiative and think quickly
The average salary for the job is £18,000 per year. The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate a good level of communications and a persuasive telephone manner. Applicants who demonstrate experienced sales techniques will be at an advantage in securing a position. Specific qualifications are rarely required for this job as training is usually provided in-house and it is often possible for staff to achieve further qualifications in telesales.

Telesales professionals do a lot of cold calling. They work primarily with the telephone and contact numerous clients daily. These professionals are very informed on the products and services offered by their companies and receive training in various sales techniques.
